I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
